  Ecological civilization is not only the product of conforming to the requirements of The Times, but also the realistic demand of social practice and development as well as the common goal of the harmonious development of human beings all over the world. Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization is an important part of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era Since the 18th CPC National Congress, General Secretary Xi Jinping has paid special attention to the construction of ecological civilization and elevated it to the height of national strategy. Gansu Province is an important ecological security barrier in northwest China and plays an important role in promoting ecological civilization construction in China. This paper systematically sorts out the formation principle, development process, rich content and theoretical value of Xi Jinping's ecological civilization thought, and at the same time, points out the important guiding role of Xi Jinping's ecological civilization thought on the ecological civilization construction in Gansu Province. On this basis, using scientific stand, viewpoint and method, focus on the present situation of ecological civilization construction in gansu province, through the combination of theory with practice, analyzes the ecological civilization construction in gansu province as well as the development opportunity of the development achievements, and summarizes the current problems existing in the construction of ecological civilization is still in gansu province and the reason for the problem, based on the current development of short board is put forward in jinping ecological civilization thought under the guidance of gansu countermeasures for the construction of ecological civilization. First of all, we should improve the system and mechanism of ecological civilization construction. Second, we should achieve carbon peak and carbon neutrality, and fully tap the advantages of characteristic industries. Third, we should make persistent efforts to improve people's livelihood, and finally, we should strengthen ecological environmental protection and restoration work. It is expected to provide valuable theoretical reference and practical basis for the ecological civilization construction in Gansu Province.
