The digital economy continuously empowers green development and has become a crucial engine for promoting the green transformation of the national economy.This paper selects sample data from 30 provinces in China between 2011 and 2021 to empirically analyze the spatiotemporal evolution and obstacles of the coupling coordination between digital economy and green development.Research findings:The overall level of China's digital economy and green development has shown a clear upward trend.The coupling coordination degree between the two exhibits significant spatial clustering characteristics,showing a trend of decreasing from east to west and from south to north.The criterion layer obstacle factors affecting the coupling coordination,ranked from highest to lowest obstacle degree,are digital industrialization,green ecology,industrial digitalization,green production,and green living.Additionally,the obstacle factors at the indicator level vary across different times and regions.Based on these findings,the paper proposes policy recommendations such as increasing policy support,strengthening the foundation of the digital economy,and implementing development strategies tailored to local conditions.
