摘要 | 2023年,政府出台了《汽车行业稳增长工作方案(2023-2024)》,明确指出推动汽车出口提质增效,提升产业发展质量效益。在此背景下,探究中国汽车制造企业国际化程度对经营绩效的影响,有助于中国汽车制造企业认识到自身在国际市场竞争中的优势和不足,从而调整国际化战略,更好地开展经营活动。长城汽车作为最早进入海外市场的企业之一,凭借丰富的海外经营经验及稳健的国际化战略,在中国民营汽车制造企业中处于领先地位。因此,本文以中国汽车制造企业为研究对象,并借助长城汽车案例,探讨国际化程度对经营绩效的影响。 本文首先在梳理相关文献和理论的基础上,结合交易成本理论、制度理论及国际生产折衷理论,探究创新投入对中国汽车制造企业国际化程度与经营绩效的调节效应。其次,选取2015-2022年中国汽车制造企业数据,通过构建固定效应模型剖析其国际化程度与经营绩效的关系,确定我国汽车企业处于国际化战略初级阶段。再次,通过稳健性检验保证实证结论的可靠性;从企业产权性质和所在区域进行异质性分析来丰富研究结论;同时,检验创新投入的调节效应。最后,选取长城汽车进行案例研究,通过分析其国际化发展历程以及经营情况,探讨长城汽车国际化程度如何影响其经营绩效,以期验证和扩展实证结果的一般性结论。 研究发现:第一,固定效应回归结果表明,在国际化初级阶段,中国汽车制造企业的国际化程度对经营绩效呈现显著的负向影响,通过稳健性检验,该结论依然成立。第二,异质性分析结果说明,国际化程度对经营绩效的抑制效果对国企和中东部地区企业更显著。第三,调节效应检验结果显示,增加创新投入有助于缓解企业国际化程度对经营绩效的负向影响。第四,案例分析结果发现,长城汽车在提高国际化程度的过程中,经营绩效出现下滑趋势。基于此,为提升中国汽车制造企业国际化经营绩效、实现其可持续发展,本文提出以下政策建议:一是降低“外来者劣势”;二是履行政府职能;三是实现合理研发;四是加强品牌建设。 |
英文摘要 | In 2023, the government issued the "Work Plan for the Steady Growth of the Automobile Industry (2023-2024)", which clearly pointed out that to promote the quality and efficiency of automobile exports and improve the quality and efficiency of industrial development. In this context, exploring the impact of internationalization degree on business performance of Chinese automobile manufacturing enterprises is helpful for Chinese automobile manufacturing enterprises to realize their advantages and disadvantages in international market competition, so as to adjust internationalization strategy and better carry out business activities. As one of the earliest enterprises to enter the overseas market, Great Wall Motor is in a leading position in China's private automobile manufacturing enterprises by virtue of its rich overseas business experience and steady internationalization strategy. Therefore, this paper takes Chinese automobile manufacturers as the research object and uses the case of Great Wall Motor to explore the impact of internationalization degree on business performance. First, based on the review of relevant literature and theories, combined with transaction cost theory, system theory and international production compromise theory, this paper explores the regulatory effect of innovation input on the internationalization degree and business performance of Chinese automobile manufacturing enterprises. Secondly, the data of Chinese automobile manufacturing enterprises from 2015 to 2022 are selected to analyze the relationship between the degree of internationalization and business performance by constructing a fixed effect model, and it is determined that China's automobile enterprises are in the initial stage of internationalization strategy. Thirdly, the reliability of empirical conclusions is guaranteed by robustness test. To enrich the research conclusions, we analyze the heterogeneity of property rights of enterprises and their regions. At the same time, the moderating effect of innovation input is examined. Finally, Great Wall Motor is selected as a single case study to explore how the degree of internationalization of Great Wall Motor affects its business performance through the analysis of its international development process and business conditions, in order to verify and expand the general conclusions of the empirical results. The research findings are as follows: First, the fixed-effect regression results show that in the initial stage of internationalization, the degree of internationalization of Chinese automobile manufacturing enterprises has a significant negative impact on business performance, and this conclusion is still valid through the robustness test. Second, the heterogeneity analysis results show that the inhibition effect of internationalization degree on business performance is more significant for state-owned enterprises and enterprises in central and eastern regions. Third, the results of the adjustment effect test show that increasing innovation input can help mitigate the negative impact of the degree of internationalization on business performance. Fourthly, the results of case analysis found that Great Wall Motor's business performance showed a downward trend in the process of improving the degree of internationalization. Based on this, in order to improve the international operation performance of Chinese automobile manufacturing enterprises and realize their sustainable development, this paper puts forward the following policy suggestions: First, reduce the "disadvantage of outsiders"; The second is to perform government functions; Third, to achieve reasonable research and development; Fourth, strengthen brand building. |
