英文摘要 | With the continuous evolution of information technology, the digital economy has become the core driving force for realizing high-quality development in China. Through the use of advanced information technology, the digital economy realizes the rapid flow, efficient processing and wide application of data, and promotes industrial innovation, transformation and upgrading, and economic growth. During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, the Party Central Committee made clear strategic instructions on how to accelerate the development of digitization, emphasizing the need to realize the in-depth integration of digital technology with the real economy, in order to promote industrial upgrading, improve productivity, optimize resource allocation, and thus enhance economic efficiency and international competitiveness. Industrial digitization, as an important part of the digital economy, is profoundly changing the operation mode and business model of traditional industries. Through the application of big data, cloud
computing, artificial intelligence and other advanced technologies, industrial digitization can not only improve production efficiency, reduce costs, optimize supply chain management, and thus enhance the competitiveness and market position of enterprises, but also promote the integration and development of traditional and emerging industries, give rise to new forms and models, and inject new impetus for economic development. Understanding the current situation of industrial digitalization and exploring its impact mechanism on regional economic development is of great significance for us to explore new economic development advantages and promote economic development to a higher level.
On the basis of comprehensive consideration of the connotation of industrial digitalization development, this paper constructs an evaluation index system for the development of industrial digitalization in China from the perspective of the three industries, and uses the entropy value method to measure the level of industrial digitalization development of 30 provinces (municipalities and districts) across the country in the period of 2011-2022. It is found that the overall level of industrial digitization in China is increasing year by year, but there is a large spatial heterogeneity. From the industrial dimension, digitization of secondary and tertiary industries contributes more to regional economic development than the digitization of primary industries. Constrained by factors such as the foundation of economic development, industrial attributes, key technologies and core components, the digitization of China's industries has formed a state of locking in the central and eastern regions, which results in the widening of the development gap between the eastern and western regions. From the regional dimension, China's six major urban agglomerations in the development of industrial digitization advantages continue to strengthen, Guangdong, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Shandong and other core cities of the role of radiation driven by the increasing digitalization of China's industry to the major urban agglomerations of the echelon distribution pattern, which is conducive to driving the economic development of the surrounding less developed regions. The above conclusion initially proves that industrial digitalization can promote China's regional economic development, in order to further verify the contribution of industrial digitalization to regional economic development, combined with the elements affecting regional economic development, from the five aspects of resource allocation efficiency, technological innovation, economic structure, opening up, ecological environment, infrastructure construction, etc., to construct a
comprehensive evaluation index system of regional economic development, and to use entropy value method to measure the national The entropy method is used to measure the regional economic development level of 30 provinces (cities and districts), to explore the impact of industrial digitalization on regional economic development, and to empirically test the promotional effect, regional heterogeneity, non-linear impact and spatial spillover effect of industrial digitalization on regional economic development by using benchmark regression model, threshold regression model and spatial Durbin model. The results of the study show that, firstly, industrial digitization can promote China's regional economic development level as a whole, and its empowering effect shows a "U"-shaped nonlinear impact of inhibition followed by promotion. Second, there is significant regional heterogeneity in the impact of industrial digitalization on regional economic development. Under the siphon effect and circular cumulative causal
effect, industrial digitalization contributes more to the economic development of the eastern and central regions of China than the western and northeastern regions. Third, industrial digitization has significant positive spatial spillover effects on regional economic development, which not only promotes local economic development, but also leads to the improvement of the economic level of neighboring regions. In this regard, this paper puts forward the following countermeasures: improving industrial technological innovation, strengthening infrastructure construction in the central and western regions, introducing highly standardized industries, strengthening the top-level design of industrial digital transformation, and carrying out the digital development strategy in accordance with local conditions and other development ideas.
