Based on the connotation of high-quality development of new urbanization, this paper first constructs an evalua-tion index system from the five dimensions of industry, green, society, space and life, then uses the improved entropy method to measure the overall level and sub-dimension level of high-quality development of new urbanization in 31 provinces of China from 2010 to 2020,analyzing the spatial-temporal pattern. Finally, the paper uses the Dagum Gini coefficient method and Kernel den-sity estimation to further explore the sources of spatial differences and the dynamic evolution law of absolute differences in the high-quality development level of new urbanization. The results go as the following:(1)During the study period, the overall level of high-quality development of new urbanization shows a steady growth trend, and there are obvious spatial differences.(2)The level of all dimensions shows a steady upward trend during the study period, among which the level of living urbanization improves fastest.(3)The spatial difference of high-quality development level of new urbanization in China has been narrowing, mainly due to inter-regional differences, with the largest difference between eastern and northeastern regions and the smallest difference be-tween northeast and western regions.(4)The absolute difference in the level of high-quality development of new urbanization across the country is expanding, and the phenomenon of right tailing and polarization is gradually weakening.
