摘要

动画电影已经成为了文化产业中的重要板块,研究电影媒介与文化性赋予的动画类型是传播文化的有效路径。一部优秀的动画影片既具有艺术价值,也蕴含其中的商业价值,会受到来自世界各地观众的追捧。美国动画电影在国际上的传播很具代表性,尤其是皮克斯工作室,在保证作品质量的同时,能够跟进时代的脚步更迭内容技术创新,保持受众群体的稳定性,因此对于媒介与文化之间如何更好的表达交流,也是我国在这方面亟待学习发展的课题。本论文旨在研究以皮克斯作品为例的美国动画电影跨文化传播的特征表现以及传播策略,以期对我国的动画电影发展起到一些有价值的经验。

本文将以美国动画电影为研究对象,首先对美国动画电影的文化价值维度分析可以发现,其作品所呈现出来的文化价值观念并不是单一取向,经过了适当的调和,建构了多元的新维度,这为跨文化传播的过程建立起了共同的意义空间。之后以皮克斯作品为个案研究,通过传播学理论对其分析传播过程中的传播主体、传播内容、传播渠道、传播受众几方面的独特表现要素及对于跨文化传播中所起到的推动作用。最后从传播的叙事、传播的方式两个部分结合跨文化传播的基本特征进行不同角度的论述,总结美国动画电影的跨文化特征,在此基础上,进一步深入了解其在跨文化传播中对文化与共通意义空间的建构。

通过对案例的详细分析,通过美国动画电影跨文化传播的成功之处总结出一般规律,从内容、受众、文化、市场四个方面总结出创新题材文本、回归受众本位、弘扬文化自信以及树立品牌意识等可供我国动画电影借鉴的经验,其目的也展望中国动画电影能够真正持续创造出具有中国影响力的动画电影。

英文摘要

 The animated film has emerged as an essential segment of the cultural industry, where the study of the film medium and the culturally empowered animation genre serve as an effective path to disseminate culture. An excellent animated film carries both artistic value and commercial value, which can be sought after by audiences on a worldwide basis. The communication of American animated films is rather representative in the international arena, especially Pixar Studios, which can keep up with the footsteps of the times to update the content technological innovation and preserve the stability of audience groups, while ensuring the quality of the works. For this reason, regarding the ways of better expression and communication between media and culture, which is also a topic that China desperately needs to learn and develop in this regard. The objective of this paper lies in exploring the characteristic performance and communication strategies of cross-cultural communication for American animated films by taking the works of Pixar as examples, with a view to drawing some reference and experience for the communication and development of Chinese animated films.

With the American animated films as the research subject, this paper begins with an analysis of the cultural value dimension of American animated films, which indicates that the cultural values exhibited by its works are not single-oriented, but rather have been appropriately reconciled to construct a pluralistic new dimension, thereby establishing a shared space of meaning in the course of cross-cultural communication. Afterwards, by taking the works of Pixar as a case study, this paper analyzes their distinctive performance elements in terms of communication subjects, communication contents, communication channels as well as communication audiences, as well as the role they play in facilitating intercultural communication through communication theory. Lastly, this paper presents a discussion from various perspectives in two sections, namely the narrative of communication and the way of communication in conjunction with the basic characteristics of cross-cultural communication, while summing up the cross-cultural characteristics of American animated films. On this basis, further insight has been gained into their construction of culture and shared space of meaning in cross-cultural communication.

Through the detailed analysis of the case, the general rules are summarized by the success of cross-cultural communication of American animated films. Meanwhile, the experiences that can be borrowed by Chinese animated films, such as innovative theme texts, returning to audience orientation, advocating cultural self-confidence and establishing brand awareness, are summarized from four aspects, including content, audience, culture and market. Furthermore, its objective is also to prospect that Chinese animated films can actually keep creating animated films with Chinese influence.
