In this paper, the study of the economic situation of the region is carried out by using the survey questionnaire in the northwest Ningxia Hui people as the research object. The direction of research is life customs, cultural and educational background, occupation type and so on. A comparative analysis of the population side of the Hui nationality in Ningxia was carried out. The results show that: The area should take the people as the basic economic management mode, which makes the development of the local ethnic psychological consciousness and economic modernization to adapt, so as to achieve the northwest new national economic development objective.
